We provide vital critical medical care by land and air, across Wiltshire and Bath.

In effect, we give the same level of critical care as a hospital but bring the expert team and specialist equipment to the people in need. And we do it as fast as humanly possible.

On call all year round for up to 19 hours, on average they respond to four incidents daily, attending by helicopter and critical care car.

As a registered charity, we don’t receive government funding, relying entirely on voluntary donations and support from our local Wiltshire and Bath communities.

Sue's Story

One moment I was cycling with my husband Neil on a sunny September afternoon, the next he had collapsed from his bike and went into cardiac arrest.

Our lives changed in an instant and without the skill, expertise and determination of Maria, Matt and George from Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity, Neil would not be with me today. Within minutes, the helicopter crew were with us, bringing hospital level lifesaving care directly to the roadside.

They worked alongside the land ambulance team, using specialist equipment, medication and a mechanical CPR device to keep Neil alive.

Neil’s recovery has been a complex journey. He spent days in intensive care and weeks healing from the injuries. But Neil is here, and for that I can never thank the Charity enough. Meeting the crew who saved Neil’s life was incredibly special. It meant so much for us to thank them in person and understand more about the care they gave.
